Team Keatley On Fire!
The 2026 season has begun in outstanding fashion for our team at Wold House Stables, with the yard operating at an exceptional level across both the Flat and over jumps.
So far this year, the stable has recorded 4 winners from just 5 runners on the flat Domestically, an 80% strike-rate!, With performances that have been both decisive and progressive. Importantly, this isn’t volume-driven form — runners have been placed selectively, and when horses have gone to the track, they’ve delivered.
It hasn’t just been domestic success, though, Another Baar has also added a major international highlight to the season, landing the Bahrain Domestic Grade 1 Al Wasmiya Cup, sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain, with Benoit de la Sayette delivering a composed ride to secure top-level success for the yard.
Our momentum is reflected in the last fortnight, where our team has produced 7 winners from 8 runners (88%), underlining how well the horses are thriving at home and translating that work onto the racecourse.
Aisling Oscar has been the standout performer of the season to date, completing a remarkable seven-race winning sequence. His consistency and durability have been rewarded with the ARC Horse of the Month Bonus for January (After winning the December one, too), and he currently sits top of the Horse of the Year leaderboard, a testament to both his progression and the way he has been managed.
Over hurdles, Indian River has added another exciting dimension to the season. He remains unbeaten after three runs over obstacles, continuing to improve with each start. His profile suggests there is more to come, and he is shaping as a horse capable of taking his chance at the Cheltenham Festival, representing the yard on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
This early-season form is the result of a settled yard, horses in the right races, and a clear focus on long-term progression rather than short-term numbers. With confidence high and several horses still on upward curves, the remainder of 2026 promises to be an exciting and rewarding year for everyone connected with Keatley Racing.
Indian River Completes His Hat-Trick!
Indian River has completed a wonderful Hat Trick at Sedgefield, remaining unbeaten over hurdles! His owner Garry Wilkie Wilson is unbeaten with runners at Keatley Racing in his own silks, so a massive well done to you, Garry, do you have tonights lottery numbers??
In all seriousness, Indian River looks a horse going places and we can’t wait to get him out again, we are most likely to see him next at the Cheltenham Festival, which is hugely, hugely exciting!
Congratulations to all and to the team who are flying, and a big well done to Brian Hughes, who gave this horse a super ride.
Aisling Oscar Completes a remarkable 7 timer!
Aisling Oscar has done it! He’s managed to complete a remarkable 7 timer, something unheard of in recent history & he claims another ARC HOTM Bonus (Shared this time).
Bought for just 3,200gns by Dan Astbury, he’s been a superstar!
Well done to Dan & the syndicate Barry & The Chuckles!
Connor Whiteley gave him a super ride, too a young lad going places for sure, well done to him!
Two Winners in 24 hours!
Here at Keatley Racing, we’ve been in fine form! We’ve had 2 winners in the space of just 24 hours.
First off, we had Aisling Oscar complete a remarkable 6 timer! He’s now one win away from claiming yet another top spot (joint this time) In the ARC AW HOTM Bonus. Well ridden by Oisin McSweeney, Congratulations to his owners Barry & The Chuckles.
Secondly, we had Nightflyer look impressive at Catterick in a bumper, well done to Roger Marley who owns him & to Brian Hughes who gave him a great ride.
Congratulations to both connections and the team at home who are doing a super job! Long may this continue.
International Grade 1 Winner!
Another Baar won the Domestic Grade 1, Al Wasmiya cup in Bahrain over this weekend 🇧🇭
A monumental occasion for our team, one we are super proud of! Congratulations to his owners Think & Become, who’ve been very loyal & allowed us to send the horse over to Bahrain.
Also a big thank you to Bahrain Turf Club & Emma Dwan, a big part of our team, she has done an excellent job with the horse while over in Bahrain.
A huge well done to Benoit De La Sayette, also who gave the horse a great ride.
We are just so thrilled & it’s been a weekend of celebration for us, an achievement not to be sniffed at.
Another Baar is our 4th winner already in 2026, our team have made a flying start & we intend on carrying that momentum with us for the rest of the year!
A Double & Off To A Flyer In 2026 ✈️
We recently celebrated a double here at Keatley Racing, with both Diamant Dore & Aisling Oscar winning & completing a cross the card, cross the codes double. It’d be hard not to get excited about Diamant Dore’s performance, destroying the field and making good horses look like fools in behind, while still looking very raw & rough around the edges under Brian Hughes. He extended owner Garry Wilkie Wilson’s’ 100% winners to runners with horses in his own colours at Keatley Racing, long may that continue!!
Aisling Oscar then won very nicely, completing a 5 timer no less! He won the December ARC HOTM bonus, picked up for very small money by Dan Astbury, he’s been a major winter success story. If you can’t praise achievements like this then you can’t praise anything!
Well done to both sets of connections & well done to the team at home who continue to do a great job 👏
Mostar Dreams Kicks Off 2026!!
Mostar Dreams became our first winner of 2026, kicking of the campaign in style at Newcastle.
Her first try at a mile brought success and it’s certainly opened up more doors. She’s been steadily progressive since joining our team and she looks a progressive filly in the making.
She was given a great ride by Oisin Mcsweeney.
Congratulations to the owners and the team at home, a great team effort!
Happy New Year!!!
Keatley Racing would like to wish you all a happy new year! 🥳
2025 has been a journey & an excellent one at that! The year opened with Maghlaak winning at Catterick & Ended with Aisling Oscar winning the HOTM Bonus For December & Indian River extending his unbeaten record over hurdles.
What a year it’s been, with 2 listed winners & 7 individual 2yo winners. A smashing 33 winners across both codes & a 13% strike rate on the flat. Not to mention the current 19% strike rate under NH rules.
The yard has also seen big improvements to its infrastructure, which is still ongoing!
We look forward now to enjoying a successful 2026 & we start off the year with 2 international assignments in Dubai & Bahrain with Kihavah & Another Baar!
We plan to stage an open day early in 2026, so keep eyes & ears peeled!
We’d like to thank all owners & staff for their support in 2025, without them we wouldn’t have had such a fruitful campaign!
Here’s to 2026! 🙌
Indian River Makes It 2/2!
Indian River made it 2/2 for the year at Wetherby. Defying a penalty to give our yard a second success in the race in back to back years. It was a great performance under the very capable hands of Brian Hughes.
Well done to owner Garry Wilkie Wilson, Dan Astbury & the whole team at Keatley Racing.
Aisling Oscar Does It!?!
Aisling Oscar secured the ARC HOTM December Bonus by winning his third race on the spin in this calendar month.
We are just hoping that we stay as the only horse to do so in this month so we can secure all of that lovely £20k bonus!
Well done to Dan Astbury who sourced him & owns him & well done to the team at home for achieving such a feat with a bargain buy!
Another genius training performance from our team & we don’t think there’d be many that could rival this success!
Azahara Palace Wins At Second Time Of Asking!
Azahara Palace won at Hexham, just her second start for our team, she looked a smart prospect in the making!
Her win takes us up to 28 for the year over both codes which is a very impressive feat for a yard of our size, we constantly under promise & over achieve, punching above our weight!
She was well bought by Adrian & Dan Astbury, well done to her new owner, the very loyal J Fyffe!
An Action Packed Week For ARC Bonus Chaser Aisling Oscar
Aisling Oscar has had a busy last week or so, finishing 3rd and then subsequently winning twice.
He’s on the hunt to pick up some Arc Bonuses & he goes Friday to Newcastle to try claim yet another win. If he does so, he’ll be one win away from claiming the no 1 spot for December!
A bargain buy picked up for just 3,800gns hopefully he can be a fairytale story come easter time!
Well done to all connections and the team at home let’s hope for more success to come!
Two Winners In Two Days!!
We’ve had a good few days here at Keatley Racing with both Indian River & Cotai Lights winning.
Indian River shed his maiden tag in good style beating a good field on hurdling & yard debut. We look forward to him going up through the grades.
Cotai Lights won in very impressive style sprinting clear of the field & winning easily. He appreciated the step back in trip.
Well done to all connections and the team at home!

We then moved onto the H.I.T Sales and capped off our spending, securing two lovely horses from Hughie Morrisons’ yard, where we bought both Surrey Belle & Legendary Day from, two real money spinners for us!
We bought Loving Look, a two time winner, who seems to be very genuine and stay all day.
&
Azahara Palace, a four time winner, a half sister to our very own Listed winner Francisco’s Piece & she’s by the same sire as Legendary Day, who won over £80,000 in prize money for us & came from the same nursery! Some would say this one was written in the stars!
Loving Look
Azahara Palace

It’s a remarkable effort by the team and one we are so proud of.

Ayr is a potential next step for him with the western meeting in sights.
Well done to owners think and become, who must be thrilled!!
New Kids On The Block!
We are delighted to announce we’ve recently added four, yes four new yearlings to the team at the recent Goffs Premier Yearling Sales!
Firstly, a stunning Nando Parrado Colt, who really caught the eye and was bought for loyal owner Andy Finneran.
Secondly, A Starman Colt, bought for owner Steve Ryan, we couldn’t leave the sales without him and although we had to stretch for him, he’s a real star piece, we hope the colt will repay Steve’s faith in 2026, we are sure he will.
Thirdly, we bought a rocket by Ubettabelieve it, taking after the stallion, he looks sharp and forward, closely related to a black type filly we believe he is the real deal. There are shares in him with our Keatley Owners Group, get in touch!
Last but not least, we bought a Harry Angel colt, who just looked very typical of the sire, a well made ‘Donny Rocket!’ who was bought for new owner John Blackburn, we are very grateful for his support!
All in all we are delighted with our purchases and the class of 2026 is looking strong!
